I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). I have over 20 years of clinical experience working with individuals, youth, children, and families in diverse settings such as social service agency, medical clinic, school, university (MSU), and hospital settings. I am experienced in working with children and youth that have had trauma in their lives, behavioral issues at home and/or school, in addition to specialized training in working with children, youth and young adults with developmental disabilities, particularly Autism. I am certified in Project ImPACT (Improving Parents As Communication Teachers; Ingersoll & Dvortcsak), an intervention that teaches parents/guardians techniques that improve their young child’s (with Autism or other developmental disability) language, social engagement, play, and imitation skills. I also have a special interest in helping individuals with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, life transitions, and grief and loss. I work from a strength-based and client-centered perspective and am passionate about working collaboratively with clients in order to reach their personal goals of self-actualization and optimal empowerment. I am dedicated to serving and learning from all people regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, spirituality, gender identity, sexual orientation, different ability, age, and economic status.
