I am a fully licensed social worker in the state of Michigan (LMSW) and can practice in-person or via Telehealth (the computer). I am also a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
I believe In treating each client as an individual and therefore, each client’s treatment will vary from client to client. The most important factor to establish in treating a client is building a therapeutic relationship, where the client feels supported and encouraged on their journey.
I have been practicing therapy for the past five years, though I have been in the helping field for most of my life in one capacity or another. I enjoy helping others and giving back to my community. I have chosen a career path that allows me to do this every day.
Treatment modalities and theories that I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (Informed), Psychodynamic, and Existential-Humanistic. These modalities/theories are used in a way to help the client on their journey toward a healthier, happier, more fulfilling, and content life.
