I am a master's level licensed professional counselor and an alumnus of the Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH. I am a friendly and caring therapist, specializing in treating adults, teens, and couples for a wide variety of issues from codependency and relationship issues to depression and anxiety. I focus on being proactive with treatment, helping individuals and families to identify concrete goals, and providing the necessary support to help them make positive changes in their lives. I believe in combining multiple proven approaches to maximize each individual's personal growth. After all, no one approach works perfectly with everyone, so I work hard to find an approach that will work best with each individual.
I believe in creating a safe atmosphere where each individual may build a strong internal awareness of the issues they are experiencing. By creating a relationship built on trust and support, individuals can develop an action plan to learn coping skills that can be practiced, allowing individuals to gain quick emotional control. I also cooperate with individuals to shape that plan to fit their specific needs, creating the outcome they are looking for.
