build insight within my clients in an effort to reduce their distress and assist them with regaining their own sense of power and control. Nearly ten years of experience within the healthcare setting have given me the opportunity to work with depression/anxiety, substance abuse, bereavement, misaligned family dynamics, domestic violence and various psychiatric diagnoses just to name a few. My client population has ranged from children to geriatrics, individuals, couples and groups. Over the years I have become no stranger to those complex scenarios that do not necessarily have straightforward resolutions.
As a proud graduate of Michigan State University (BA-Psychology) and Wayne State University (MSW), I am fully licensed to practice clinical therapy. My therapeutic approaches include but are not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy, existential therapy, psychodynamic therapy as well integrative therapy. However, each encounter is tailor-made to fit your particular needs and goals. If it is necessary to incorporate your support system into your treatment, I certainly welcome that option as well. I provide you with a great sense of optimism even if you are not ready to give it to yourself. I believe that every one of us has a past but should not be defined by it.
