Steven Meerschaert obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno. After working several years in Residential Juvenile Facilities with high-risk populations, Steven completed a Community Treatment track of Oakland University's Masters of Arts in Counseling. Graduating with honors, he also completed a Postgraduate Specialization in Child and Adolescent Counseling. Since completing his education, Steven worked in Residential Juvenile Treatment, Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment, managed multiple departments at Brighton Hospital, and served as Clinical Director for a community Substance Use Disorder Non-profit.
