Great Lakes Psychology Group Keeps Offices Open & Expands Online Therapy

Great Lakes Psychology Group keeps offices open & expands online therapy.

We know that for many people, mental health concerns, stress, anxiety, depression and isolation are increasing in light of the current pandemic. Great Lakes Psychology Group understands the importance of continued access to care, and we are committed to serving the community during this unprecedented time.

Behavioral health services are among the essential businesses listed on the statewide ‘Stay Home, Stay Safe’ executive order; thus, our clinical offices will remain open, and we are accepting new appointments. We have increased the frequency of cleanings at all of our offices, especially for frequently touched surfaces. We are also working to ensure the availability of hand sanitizer in all of our waiting rooms. The comfort and safety of our clients and staff are of the utmost importance to us.

To prevent the spread of the virus, we are promoting the use of our telehealth services. The vast majority of our clinicians offer online therapy via a secure video platform, and we are encouraging them to use this option at this time. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, almost all insured Americans now have coverage for online therapy sessions. If you are interested in online therapy, you may reach out to your therapist directly or contact our scheduling staff at (800) 693-1916 or

If you prefer to continue meeting with your therapist in person, please keep the following safety precautions in mind.

  • To prevent the spread of germs, we strongly encourage clients visiting our offices to check in with their smart devices using our mobile check-in option here:
  • We kindly request that if you are coughing or experiencing any other symptoms of illness, please avoid visiting our offices at this time and consider making use of online therapy.

Simple everyday actions you can take to help prevent the spread of disease include:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds, and help young children do the same. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash. If a tissue is not available, sneeze into your elbow.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Keep a distance of 6 feet from those around you, especially if they have visible symptoms.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as toys and doorknobs.

GLPG is closely monitoring safety recommendations to protect our community. Thank you for joining us in our efforts to prevent the spread of illness.
